Careers and Work Related Learning

In an educational landscape, preparing young minds for their future careers is a vital mission for educational institutions. IRIS School, committed to nurturing not only academic excellence but also the holistic development of its students, recognizes the significance of guiding them through the crucial transition from secondary education to post-16 options.

As we navigate the rapidly changing landscape of post-16 education and career opportunities, our school remains committed to equipping our students with the skills and information they need to make the right choices for their individual aspirations and goals. The IRIS School Career Advice plan is a testament to our dedication to providing holistic education and ensuring that each student has the support necessary to flourish academically and personally.

The IRIS School Career Advice Programme is a dedicated initiative aimed at providing Year 10 and 11 students with the knowledge, resources, and guidance they need to make informed decisions about their post-16 educational pathways. This programme is designed to empower students with the tools and insights required to embark on their journeys towards higher education, vocational training, or apprenticeships, ensuring they are well-prepared to take the next steps in their academic and professional lives.

Our school recognises the importance of preparing students for the world of work and is really committed to helping all students develop their employability skills from the start in year 7.
